  27. Jowat PU Glue System Rinse Aid 5kg Bucket Granule
Rinse aid for PUR edging hot melt adhesives with high viscosity. Due to a special additive, the chemical reaction of the PUR hotmelt adhesive is prevented during the flushing procedure. Allow all adhesive to be extruded for completely. Then fill the unit with the Jowat flushing agent and melt. The entire amount of flushing agent has to be run through the hose and nozzle; then repeat the procedure to ensure that all hot melt residues have been removed. Before taking up the work again, the flushing agent has to be completely removed from the equipment. If this is not done, it may be possible that the desired crosslinking reaction will not take place when reactive PUR hot melt adhesives are processed. 28. Jowat PU Gluepot Flushing Agent 15kg Granules
Jowat flushing agents purge the adhesive and stop the chemical reaction of PUR hot melt adhesives. Before the cleaning of the application system is started, it must be ensured that the Jowat flushing agents and the adhesive used are compatible. To prevent plugged hoses or nozzles due to an unwanted reaction, especially in closed application systems, it must be ensured that the PUR hot melt adhesive and the Jowat? flushing agent are melted evenly. The primary task of a flushing agent is to push out the adhesive from the hoses and the application unit, and therefore to purge product remnants from the system. Due to the general flow behaviour of liquids (cf. figure 1, on the right), the flow velocity is significantly lower at the walls compared to the centre of the hose. To ensure that the hoses are cleaned thoroughly, it is thus necessary to use a sufficient amount of flushing agent. Apart from flow velocity, viscosity also plays a role in the purging process. If the viscosity of the flushing agent is too low, it will only purge the adhesive in the centre of the hose. Under those circumstances, it will not be possible to remove all the adhesive. To find out the viscosity of the flushing agent and the hot melt adhesive, please refer to the corresponding Technical Data Sheets (available upon request).

  29. Jowatherm EVA Hotmelt 28040 for Edgebanders 25kg
Jowatherm 282.40 Light yellow EVA Edgebanding Adhesive for bondingof resinated decor paper or veneer (with fleece backing) at low processing temperatures. The properties of the bonded parts and, where necessary, the reverse primer coating of the edgebanding materials have to undergo application-related testing prior to use. The adhesive granulate can be processed using automatic feed systems. In that case, the ambient temp should not exceed 30 Degrees. Different types of hot melt adhesives may be incompatible with each other depending on the formulation. Therefore, we recommend to carefully clean the application equipment when changing the product. Further information is available upon request. The processing characteristics may vary depending on the application technology used as well as at differing feed speels. Preliminary testing has to be carrier out in order to assess the effect on the bonding process.
