Mylar protective sheet for platen size L= 3.5 - 3,8m Mylar sheeting to suit all hydraulic press platens The material is 1.65 metres in width and is sold in a 8m length to afford coverage to two platens of most standard machines. It's widely used throughout the woodworking industry as a protective layer for platens on hydraulic presses. Mylar is a polyester film and is offered at 250 micron (0.25 mm) thick, and is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 130 degrees centigrade.
