good product but noisy
Your Rating
Overall this is a good product. It does do a really good job pulling the dust out of the slots made by the router bit. In my situation there are a couple downsides. The first is this thing sounds like a jet engine once it spools up to 18,000 rpm. At that speed with my dust hood down and standing roughly 5'-8' from the machine it was spitting out 96-100 decibels of high pitched noise. The other thing they don't mention is you better have a really good dust collector. Ours is not powerful enough to catch all of the dust this thing blows around. It just ends up spitting dust all around the dust hood and up into the air as if you had a dust collector but no dust hood.

One last big item They don't give you a wrench to tighten this to your tool holder. I also cant seem to find one but I will keep looking. Either way a strap wrench works okay it did the job for me to test it but I also don't trust it. Until I figure out how to fix some of these issues this will be staying in the toolbox for now.
