The universal stand allows the head to be angled to either give downward or side pressure and drive.
The spring loaded rollers will give you a constant and even feed rate, improving finish, productivity. This also gives you longer tool life and naturally they help improve safety. This should be easily adjustable to suit different sizes of work piece and should not, in itself, create a trapping hazard. Used in conjunction with a side pressure pad, a power feed unit often represents the best method of guarding a spindle moulder.
