The Sedgwick 571 mortiser is a British made chisel mortising machine that is a rugged compact machine. It's ideal for a lifetime's use in professional workshops with a table, column and head all made from high quality cast iron, and mounted on a substantial steel base. A single handwheel controls all the table movements - left to right and front to back. Chisel changing can be simply achieved, with the hinged guard on the head. The 1.5hp Brook Crompton motor is more than powerful enough to drive even the largest chisels. A first class machine which will give years of service..

This updated Mk 2 version of the Sedgwick 571 chisel mortiser has a number of improvements to the setting: an improved sliding work clamp, an improved haunching stop, telescopic fence with flipstop and the table traverse settings are on the front of the machine.
